The Ministry of Education operates an enrolment scheme to ensure class sizes don't exceed schools' property resources and to guarantee children can go to school in their home zone.  

Home Zone 

The zone boundaries were updated by the Ministry of Education to take effect from 2022. Please see the attached document for details which includes a map of the new boundaries.

All students living within the home zone are entitled to enrol at Ladbrooks School.

Out of Zone enrolments

If there are extra places available in any term, the school will hold (draw) a ballot to fill the available places. in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.  Ballot information is published by CPPA on our behalf and includes closing dates and how applications are to be made.

Applications for enrolment are processed in the following order of priority:

1) Children accepted for enrolment in a special programme run by the school

2) Siblings of current students

3) Siblings of former students

4) Children of former students

5) Children of board employees or board members

6) All other applications

The school holds the ballot (if one takes place at all) and creates a waiting list for unsuccessful applicants.  The school posts or emails letters informing applicants shortly after the ballot is held. Successful applicants are advised of a deadline to either accept or reject the offer.  If they don't respond, the place is offered to the first person on the waiting list.  If a place becomes available, the school lets the first person on the list know this and they have the option of accepting or rejecting the place.  The waiting list expires when the next ballot is held.

Applicants seeking second or third priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
